Basically, we shift the light output so it doesn&amp;rsquo;t hit those high-intensity visible ranges.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;How we handle the light&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We use special coatings or &amp;ldquo;doped&amp;rdquo; quartz glass to filter out those aggressive wavelengths. Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: it doesn&amp;rsquo;t block the heat. It just changes what your eyes see.&#xA;The heater still sends out the infrared radiation your skin needs to feel warm, but we&amp;rsquo;ve narrowed the light peak. You get all the warmth, but none of the blinding glare.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The housing and the &amp;ldquo;glow&amp;rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;The way the unit sits in the ceiling also helps. We’ve added frosted diffusers and angled reflectors inside the chassis.&#xA;Instead of a concentrated beam shooting straight down, the light scatters. It turns into a soft, gentle glow. That way, if someone looks up, they aren&amp;rsquo;t getting a blast of light directly into their retinas.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The trade-offs (and a pro tip)&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Now, nothing is free. Adding a coating to the quartz tube creates a tiny bit of a barrier. Because of that, you&amp;rsquo;ll see a small dip in thermal efficiency compared to a totally clear tube.&#xA;To make up for it, just bump up the wattage a bit. That keeps the heat density on the floor exactly where you want it.&#xA;One last thing for the installers: give these units their own dedicated circuit. When they first warm up, they pull a lot of current. If you&amp;rsquo;re putting a few of these in one bathroom on a shared line, you&amp;rsquo;re probably going to trip a breaker. Don&amp;rsquo;t let that happen.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
