They run on standard mains voltage—230V or 240V—and pull between 1.5 kW and 2.5 kW. That’s enough punch to warm up the living area fast, without tripping over the usual site hook-up limits. And the layout? It’s just as important as the power. We keep the footprint tiny. The secret is the tubular halogen heating element. It slips into tight spots and sends heat exactly where you want it. The element is usually around 300 mm long, which packs a lot of heat into a small, easy-to-mount package.
The Halogen Element and the R7s Connector
The halogen element is the workhorse here. It heats up quickly, and it gives you tight control over how hot it gets. Inside, the quartz envelope handles serious heat, and the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable. The payoff? It resists the burn-out you get with standard incandescent bulbs. For the electrical connection, we use an R7s connector. Practical choice. It gives you solid, direct contact that can handle the current without getting loose. And when it’s time to swap something out, it’s simple. Wire it up, seat the lamp, and you’re back in business.
